Topic: tagging a single twinkle in someone's eye or off water.

post #973799
Was tagging a single brief twinkle in fluid and wondering what tag to use. The number of synonyms for it is long.
glitter, glint, glisten, twinkle, flash, blink, wink, shimmer, shine, gleam;
literary coruscate, glister
I'm leaning towards sparkle/sparkles, glitter because they have over 100 posts.

But from reading definitions
Glinting: see gleaming; also, appearing briefly, or glancing briefly
Glittering: flashing or sparkling; also brilliantly and/or superficially attractive or appealing
Sparkle: shine brightly with flashes of light.

Not the eyes, the 2 glitter effects floating near by.

I think that would just be star, similar to how hearts outside of the eyes are just <3.

Star already needs disambiguation.

No, it doesn't. It has two things to it, seeing as a christmas star is still a star shape, and the only thing we're adding is one of those already existing two things.

And honestly I'm fine with space stars being mixed together with star shapes, given the exact shape is variable.
