Sorry for the word salad title.

Essentially, afaik most patreon art, as paywalled content, is DNP. An artist I follow and support generally uploads stuff - resized - to her tumblr a few days after it hits patreon. Sometimes she forgets, and sometimes she actually gets a bit self-conscious about older art and elects to not put them on tumblr as a result, so it stays as only appearing on patreon behind a paywalled tier. With me so far?

Now, she did a piece which was one of my patreon backer rewards. I asked her a bit ago if she could pop it over to tumblr so I could share it, and she said she didn't actually quite feel like putting it on tumblr because it's older and not great, but she told me I could share it on my own wherever I wanted.

This might also be the case with a more recent piece, one I commissioned, which I would like to upload here. I'll ask her if she'd rather tumblr it or not, and if she'd be okay with me sharing it myself. If that's the case, and she doesn't want to put it on her tumblr, but is fine with me posting it wherever, is there some way I can prove that she's actually cool with that during the upload process or does it HAVE to have a public-facing source to be allowed on e621?

Easiest solution: Dmail me a screenshot of the conversation where she gave you permission (I assume it's through the patreon messaging system) and we'll approve the image for you.

You can also directly upload the image itself and link it in the Dmail, if you want.

Thanks, I'm glad to hear there's some way to facilitate this! I'll ask and Dmail if she consequently doesn't want it on her tumblr
