Topic: Add MariLimmy to the DNP list

Posted under General

I just had 10 posts removed at their request, and the other 12 images under the tag are gone now too. Clarifying their work isn't allowed here on that page ought to cut down on the number of people posting them.

DNP means that artist has required that if anyone uploads anything done by them, even if it's on the list, it's to be deleted immediately.

They do not have to ask themselves to be added to the DNP list and you are free to upload their work here if they are not on the list. However if they did use takedown to get all their work out from the site (like in this takedown example), best approach is to ask the artist themselves about uploading their stuff.

Asking the permission to upload stuff is usually always really nice gesture as well in general. Also artists will always have the first say on their work.

They will need to request DNP status in a takedown or via PM to an administrator.

A good thing to do is also mention something along the lines of "I noticed you didn't request DNP when you submitted a takedown--Is there art that I could upload, or did you not know about DNP?"

Some artists may just not be aware that it's a thing, and informing them of it allows them to request it themselves, which from personal experience, is a necessity. One artist asked me to handle it for him when I mentioned it, but then I just got told that the artist had to do so himself. It seems to stemp from a worry about not understanding a site they aren't familiar with, but just as it is easy enough to request takedowns, artists can always quite easily request DNP.

I asked them if it was okay to upload yesterday. They said they'd prefer we didnt but they couldn't stop anyone, so I told them they could contact an admin about the DNP list.
