1. Wait.
2. 0-30 days, but usually less than 7.

Days?? Is there a way I can get a better upload limit?

Upload more, 10 good uploads(approved) = +1 upload limit;
Don't upload badly, 4 bad uploads(deleted) = -1 upload limit.

Thanks for the tip. I wish the math equations they show on our profiles were less damn complicated.

It's basic algebra.

I don't think you can view this on mobile but on PC you can hover your mouse cursor over the numbers in the equation to see what they mean.

Basically this (according to your current limit),

10 + (8 / 10) - (12 / 4) - 7 = 0

Base limit + (Approved posts / 10) - (Deleted posts / 4) - Pending or Flagged posts = Upload limit

Ah, always wondered about the last one, nice to know:)

Also, I'm pretty sure he's joking...

My posts usually get approved within a day at the MOST. If you start chain posting a lot someone will notice and usually approve instantly. Sometimes posts get through the cracks but it's rare. I'm sure janitors and up sort posts by oldest unapproved first to make sure stuff like this gets dealt with.

Maybe that's because you're "Privileged" or well known to the staff, because that hasn't been my experience. Posts either get approved instantly or languish for a few days. When things get approved seems essentially random. Newer posts get approved before older ones. Not that it matters in my case since I'm just uploading my own art.

Well, yes. When someone stumbles on an unapproved post while working on something else (or just browsing), it makes sense to approve it regardless of the queue position.

Also of note is that the moderation team are real people and people have real life obligations, especially during certain times of year. gotta be patient. There's a lot that goes into making sure that a picture's okay to post.

This is my experience too.

Sometimes my posts get approved in 30 minutes. But I also had posts languish in pending for more than a week.

It's easier if you're "privileged", but for the majority of "members" the approval times are a roulette.

Not that I'm complaining. I'm just explaining this for those who have a large upload limit or have upgraded accounts, and thus have a completely different experience using this site compared to the majority.

When more people have free time, there are more uploads, so approval is slower. Also the longer a post spends before getting approved, the farther back in the queue it'll appear, and the longer it'll take to get seen, so that's why posts seem to either be approved right away or linger for a week or more. Ease of approval is also a factor. If it's obviously anthro and obviously high quality, often it'll get approved faster because there's no question about whether or not it should be. Humanoids who are not obviously non-human from the thumbnail and lower-middle-quality images might have no action for a while because it's harder to make a decision.
