- He's actually concerned about his son playing to much video games.

- Trusts his son enough to put the games down once and while instead of enforcing a force sleep mode on the switch.
(Take from that what you will ~ w ~)

- Sits down and just talks with junior which is awesome since he's actually making an effort to know his son and his interest.

- Becomes the wall to Protects B Junior from the Boos (Trolls) of the online world.

- Stops B Junior from seeing things he's not ready for by literally shielding his eyes.

The list goes on and that's awesome that I can type that.

Do you think Best Dad, Because I think best dad. =)

I unno, somebody who makes repeated attempts at kidnapping (in one case, explicitly because his child lacks a mother figure) doesn't seem to have the makings of a good parent

¯\_(ツ)_/¯
Yeah, he's a 'Bad Guy' but the way I see it is that he's trying make a family in his own not so legal way. It's not like he's kidnapping her to make peach into a slave or anything. He legitimately goes out of his way to make things as...Formal? (I can say that right? Whatever) as something like that could get. Not even once putting her in chains and even going all out of let's face it a really nice weddings. The newest game is even them going on a honeymoon for crying out loud lolz n_n

Except that the kidnapping is staged. Princess Toadstool Peach (or is it Peach Toadstool?) wants to feel some rush, Mario wants to feel like the hero, and Bowser wants to feel powerful. So they get together and run these kidnappings.
Who knows, maybe they really are a thing? In Super Mario Sunshine, Bowser even tells Junior that Peach is his mom. At the end, he admits she's not--but in what sense? Not biologically? And the kidnapping there allowed Mario to enjoy his vacation even more--He would have lazed about doing nothing but eat, but he instead got to go around, meet a bunch of people, play some sports, and visit each area of the island. One of the star sprites was even at the top of the tallest building of the city, a great site-seeing point.

Bowsers habitual kidnapping may get out of hand at times, but in the end it allows everybody to get a greater experience out of things.
