Topic: Tag aliases for Emoji_Family individual members from Samurai Jack

Posted under Tag Alias and Implication Suggestions

As best as I can tell, on March 14 user NeVeRs0fT made a series of edits https://e621.net/post_tag_history?after=13620910&limit=100&user_id=20418 which introduced these tags to multiple art pieces:

https://e621.net/post/index?tags=bue_%28character%29 which I am suggesting we rename Emoji_mom or Emoji_mother

https://e621.net/post/index?tags=hali_%28character%29 which I am suggesting we name Emoji_girl or Emoji_daughter

https://e621.net/post/index?tags=te_%28character%29 which I am suggesting we name Emoji_baby or Emoji_infant

The reason for this is I haven't been able to find any evidence that "Bue" or "Hali" or "Te" are actually official names for these characters.

If someone can provide some evidence of this, I would be interested in being made aware of it, which could lead to withdrawing the request.

This pertains to the trio at http://samuraijack.wikia.com/wiki/Emoji_Family

Are these possibly just pet names that people invented for the characters since they lacked names? Cute as that would be, I think descriptors make more sense if there's nothing official.

If there is something official, what exactly is it? Credits? Statements from creators?

I can't figure out PMs on this site so I'll send a note to http://nevers0ft.deviantart.com/ about this thread asking their input.

This might go back further to another user but I'm just trying my best to follow the breadcrumbs of who might have created the tags and why.

I'd rather stick with the Emoji names as placeholders until anything is confirmed. I can't find any official sources.

I looked into this a while ago and never found anything official, either. I'm not even sure where the emoji name came from.

You can use {{Curly Braces}} to create links to a search or [[Brackets]] to create links to a wiki page. For example, {{Bue_(character)}} becomes Bue_(character). Helps to save a lot of space over the long links.

The other big thing you can do is create a phrase and follow it up with a link, such as "Emoji Mother from Samurai Jack":/post/index/1/bue_(character) will become Emoji Mother from Samurai Jack. Especially worth noting is that since it's an internal link, you can cut out the https://e621.net bit of the url and save space on your own little box.

There's a whole list of other formatting things which you may find useful in the future.

I'd say make "Emoji Girl" into "Emoji daughter." I also kind of hope we can find a new name for the race, as people may start tagging actual emoji-based characters as emoji_(race). Perhaps emoji_(samurai_jack)?
