Topic: Uploading video/flash

Posted under General

Does anyone know how to upload videos/flash images? Because I wanted to upload a video recently but it wasn't campatible or something. So I need to know what kind video-file I need and how to upload flash,

Does anyone agree it should be added to guidelines of how to upload something. I hope to find out what the admins think of it as well.

They are uploaded same way like everything else, trough upload form either from your computer or from whitelisted sites.

Only video format supported at least right now is WebM with either VP8 or VP9 codec.

Ok, and what do you think of the idea of adding this info to uploading guides?

I mean, clicking the file and clicking upload shouldn't be rocket science, but I wouldn't be opposed to preventing selection of files that aren't supported or simply having list of supported filetypes.

So you can see my problem as well? There should come a list of what types of files one could upload and what not.

  • file_ext The post's extension. One of: jpg, png, gif, swf, webm

Seems those are the supported extensions.
