Topic: Ever Talked To Your Subconscious/Inner Monologue?

Posted under Off Topic

Out of guilt from a recently regrettable scenario, I recently asked mine "Am I an asshole?" And it responded by smugly laughing, and saying

"I find it funny that you even ask that question. Of COURSE you're an asshole!"

So that offended me, and I end up saying, "Well screw you, asshole." ๐Ÿ–•๐Ÿป

Whenever I fail horribly, I would normally say "Fuck me." to myself.

And then my subconscious will respond with, "Yeah, fuck you!"

Inner Monologues... I guess they're more consultable when life is going better.

If it ever says "Fuck me." to you, responds with "Well, if you insist...".

My inner monologue usually consists of incoherent screeching.

No. My subconscious does not talk to me. I do however create sentences for things I plan to write sometimes, and it happens that a fictional conversation between me and someone else is played out in my head. Usually because of a disagreement between us. Is this common?

If I don't talk to myself no one else will and if I don't respond no one else will either.

Yes, very much so. I do this a lot as well. Some of it is pretty embarrassing...

talking to oneself: a sign of insanity yet also a perfectly normal occurrence.

as long as the voice in your head is your own voice then i would say theres nothing to worry about. if it's not your own voice and it's telling you to do things you know you shouldn't do and would get you in serious trouble then you probably should go seek some help.

well, that's my opinion on the topic. after all, is someone really crazy if they have imaginary friends? if so then that's a looot of crazed kids, teens, and in some cases, adults out there.

come to think of it. i wonder how common this is for writers.

I've had ones I felt were so good I wished it had happened. Gets some frustration out as well.

Me: Hey, what's up, bruh?
Subconscious: A couple clouds
Me: Mmmmmm

not often, but my subconscious likes to narrate my life, in a Stanley parable format.

Cool. Does it get annoying?

Sadly no, i'm not nuts, so nothing talks back to me. I do sometimes talk to myself for the sake of saying things out loud to really reflect on them (when i'm alone, of course), but that's the extent of it.
