is this pic stolen from the original artist because i have reason to believe the person did not get permission to recolor it nor post it here even though the original belongs to the artist who drew it.

The proper method of dealing with this would be for the artist to request the removal of the picture.
If they actually dislike that it was posted.

The point is that you're not the proper person to be making a complaint.
At present all your doing is attempting to create a problem, which is against the rules.

If the artist has a problem with it, they have the right to complain to the admins and request it to be removed.
If you have a problem with it, you can always tell the artist.
You have no standing to make the complaint, either under this site's rules, or the copyright laws of the US.

I never understood at all why people bother and got all butthurt with edited pictures. If one of my pictures would get edited, I'd rather be happy to see that someone actually cared enough about my picture so he used some of his time to make it different and sometimes even better... For the most part.

You do not have permission to trace/edit/modify or elsewise use my art in any way, shape, or form without explicit written permission by the artist and credit provided in the reproduced imagery. Reposting on other sites is permitted with visible linked credit.

Still don't know why you're being hostile at people. Just let artist know and let them deal with it.

For one thing, I have nothing to do with art theft. Secondly, do you know this artist in real life? If you don't, I'd say this counts as stalker behaviour.

no i don't know the person in RL but you don't have the right to say that like if a pic is recolored without artists permission as it's considered as art theft as if you can't look at the pic before you make a attempt to judge it is recolored without artist's permission so move along

My guess? It was the go kill yourself, gtfo, ect ect ect. Users who do that... and to THAT degree skip grey and go straight to red, do not pass go, do not collect 200$.

Just wanted to state that it is outside of the Code of Conduct to deviate from our process. Husky is still a new admin, so he may have not been aware how strict we are to staying with that process.

If there is something that causes us to change from the normal process, it will likely cite a Committee decision or my own personal note.

Not posted on FA though, which is where the image is posted. Ookami's DA hasn't been updated since 2012 AFAIK.

Still doesn't give someone permission to recolor a piece of their work, especially a commission for someone I know personally.

The artist should know at this point, someone posted on the submission that the recolor was taken from. So if she disapproves, then action will be taken. Otherwise, it's a very nice recolor, and it will stay up.

Not dead, just a short term ban. Runs out tomorrow.

One: The image should have just been pm'ed to an admin, or flagged rather then posting it on the forums.

Two: That's a pretty nicely done recolor, all things said.

Three: If the artist wants it down, they can as others have said, request a takedown to have it removed, or if it "Is" seriously considered to be stolen, the admins will try to get in contact with the artist, wouldn't be the first time its happened, and proper action will be taken.
