Would it be considered arrogant, self obsessed, self important etc if a user upvotes and favourites content they have uploaded to the site themselves (on the basis that the art is done by another artist) ?

I wish to show I like a piece of art, and want to add to my favourite list a piece of art, I myself have uploaded.

i dont believe anyone really cares if you favorite or upvote own uploads. but if this worries you too much, you could also create a set or something.

I don't think it's a problem honestly. If you like or fav something, you like or fave it. I understand overthinking abt it tho my head likes to get self shaming about arrogance too a lot

I often upload things precisely because I like them a lot. So I'm more likely to like and/or favorite them than other images. I don't see anything wrong with that.

Liking your own artwork could be seen as arrogant, but stuff of others that you upload? Not at all.

I see no reason why you can't upvote something you uploaded if it's something you like. Upvoting something you created is rather conceited, though.

If you like it, upvote it. Just don't cheat the voting system.

Liking your own work isn't arrogant or conceited, either. Just about everyone who makes art likes what they make, else they wouldn't make it.

What about when commissioners make unsavoury requests? Some artists will draw things they don't like if money's involved.

You can still like parts of the work, as well as the work put into it, even if you didn't care much for the final product.

People favorite their own uploads all the time. I myself don't understand it...my upload gallery is synonymous with my favorites...if I didn't like something A LOT I wouldn't go out of my way to upload it. So I don't really see the point of turning around and more or less favoriting it AGAIN by adding it to my favorites...so will I judge you as being nonsensical? Yes. Does that really matter? No.
