Topic: Anyone remember Sitting Ducks

Posted under Off Topic

This was a pretty cool show despite it being shoved to the dead mid-morning weekday hours, so it was one of those things I could only catch whenever I had to take a sickday. Maybe that’s why it seems to have mostly escaped rule34 (aside from a handful of sketches on paheal) But I had actually forgotten about it for nearly a decade until instantly recognizing the voiceactress to Drill Sergeant Duck the first time I heard Spike in MLP (and turns out not only has she been all over canadian television but even voiced Rarity in a previous incarnation). The animation was pretty simple yet impressive for 2001, but its optimistic sense of humor was quite charming... I kind of miss that now that ‘ironic’ shows have largely taken over

The interspecies allegories about racism also seems to prefigure a lot of Zootopia themes, although the fact that they’re confined to their own cities seems a bit....pre-war germany

I remember seeing that show on Cartoon Network. It would air before or after Pecola. Don't know why they didn't keep it going. The show had a nice atmosphere about it.
