Topic: "multiple_images" tagged separately--adding it to the wiki

Posted under Tag/Wiki Projects and Questions

Edit: Just realized that this belongs in the Advanced Wiki discussion thread. Could someone explain to me how to close this forum thread and transfer my questions? Is that a thing I can do?

Sorry if this has been asked before. Searching the forums is a lot harder than I thought.

I want to edit the wiki pages on multiple_scenes, multiple_images, and sketch_page.

From the wiki entry solo: "Note that each image in multi-image(sic) posts is tagged separately, which means that it's possible (for instance) to have both solo and duo tags on the same post."

This information is not repeated on multiple_images or multiple_scenes. I'd like to make sure I understand everything before adding it to the wiki.

As far as I know, posts like
post #1286758
are both solo and duo, because of the hen and the weasel interacting in the bottom right. That means that taggers need to split up or group the images even when there isn't a clear, convenient delineation like a border. Right?

For example, in
post #1351870
the two middle characters are facing each other and look like they're part of the same image. However, it's not clear enough to override the fact that this is obviously a showcase image, and so both characters get a solo tag. Right?

Also, does the (independent image) thing apply to every multiple_* tag? Includes poses, positions, scenes, versions, and sequence and sketch_page. Anything else?

Lastly, is there any tag specifically for multiple body types a la
post #1352178?
I think alternate_species doesn't apply, since the character is canonically both a hippogryph and a seahorse. Anyway, is there a good tag for this? multiple_versions is not a good tag, probably. It's not multiple_images, since the images are clearly related. multiple_poses, perhaps?

Should all this information go in with the multiple_* wiki pages, or would it be better with solo, group, and so on? Are there any more examples I should incorporate? Edge cases? Old forum posts?

Thank you for your time.

Also, how does
post #1353347
fit in? Is it a three part multi_image? Two parts? Something else? The overlay of parts is a little confusing.

Also, how do we tag comics and sequential images? Does each panel get a separate tag? Or do separate scenes count as separate images?
Obviously,
post #1347622
is all group, except for the first panel, which is none_pictured, and the fourth panel, which is duo. But it's all happening in the same scene, in the same place, so does it get one tag (group) for the entire page? That would make the most sense to me.

What about pages where the number of characters changes?
is duo at the beginning, but solo at the end. Does this qualify as two different scenes with two different tags? One long scene that gets both tags? One scene that gets just duo?

What about pages with scene cuts?
This is admittedly group all the way through, but you get the idea.

Also, how do I tag images with cutaway views, or closeups?
multiple_positions? multiple_images? Something more specific? It's fairly common and very distinctive, so I would imagine it would have a tag.

Edit: last one, I promise.
How do feral creatures in primarily anthro or humanoid works add to the character count? Do they have to be alive?
So would
post #1353322
count as solo or duo_focus group?
If dead ferals add to the character count, what are the guidelines for when a piece of meat counts or does not?
is clearly referring to Rarity, who is distinguished by a unique feature, her cutie mark. Should that be duo, because there's two characters, or solo, because only one character has agency?

Sorry for the comment dump. This is all related, but if it should have a separate forum thread, please let me know. This should be my last post.
