Topic: [feature] Note transfer page

Posted under Site Bug Reports & Feature Requests

This would probably require a significant amount of work to implement...

Requested feature overview description.
On the navigation bar on https://e621.net/note/index, add a link to a new page called Note Transfer. On this page, you could specify a pool (that has translation notes) and specify either "transfer from parent pool" or "transfer to parent pool". Duplicates of the notes from the specified pool are generated on the corresponding parent or child posts IF they don't already have notes and have been uploaded within the last 5 days. This might allow technically adding more than 50 notes in an hour, which currently isn't possible.

why would it be useful?
Occasionally higher-res, colored, decensored, or otherwise edited versions of a foreign comic are uploaded and re-adding notes can be hassle.

What part(s) of the site page(s) are affected?
Notes on images and the new Note Transfer page.

Sounds dank. My suggestions to this are:

  • I would make it on a post-by-post basis...that would probably be a bit easier to code than transferring from one pool to another.

Make a button that says "transfer notes", then you click that an a small dialogue comes up asking from which post to transfer the notes...put in the post number and click "go" and the notes would be transferred (with mathematical adjustments in order to fit correctly on the new, presumably larger, image).

  • I wouldn't trust the average user with such a power...they'd probably abuse it.

Yeah, this sounds better. Could also be used on just regular parent/child posts.

You'd have to account for their note limit, but maybe it's still best to make it priv. +
