I usually use f-list/f-chat to rp. but I'm looking to see if threes a online game where you can create any character and have "fun" as well.

Sl isn't that bad... just have to find the right areas to rp in. Not sex Sims but rp Sims that allows either private sex or sex is allowed in certain areas. If you go to a sex SIM yeah it's gonna suck....
But as a paragraph rper (i stick with the text only or mostly text only Sims) I can say, put effort into finding a good SIM and you can have some decent rp. A good avatar just sorta helps with imagination imo. And I don't do meter combat if I can help it.

nah, you just have to find right people and you will have really good rp partners. i had really good run for few years with a small furry community in second life until i lost my interest

Speaking as someone who's been there since 2006, Believe me there's a LOT better RP to be had elsewhere.
