Bug overview description

When clicking "Respond" button on a comment, emojis are turned into unintelligible squares. This probably means that any character outside BMP can't be quoted.

Tested by me in Firefox. Tested by other users in various browsers when they quoted my messages.

Forum posts. Probably all comments on the site.

What steps did you take to replicate this bug?

Click "Respond" on this post. ๐Ÿ™‚

What is the expected behavior?

The emoji ๐Ÿ™‚ (U+1F642 Slightly Smiling Face) is quoted.

What actual behavior is given instead?

The character ๏™‚ (U+F642 Private Use Codepoint) is quoted instead.

Can you reproduce the bug every time?

Yeah I've seen it in comments as well. Only applies to some emojis though.
