Topic: Take a child post off of a parent post?

Posted under General

I am not sure how to do this so I am posting it here. There is an image that has erroneously been made a child to another drawing.

Parent:

Child (wrong):

While the pictures look similar they involve different characters. Unless because of their visual similarity they need to be related? I do not know how these things work on here.

Well, does the parent post even have a linear story? Or, more specifically, is that image where the sequence is supposed to end, or did you continue it with more images?

I'll go ahead and remove the parent post ID. In the future, you remove parent posts by going to the child and editing out the parent ID. This is found in the firstmost field when you click "edit" under or to the side of the image.

Yes, the parent post is actually the end of a series of three images, and that's supposed to be the last post.

I didn't even realize that the other picture looked so similar until I saw that they'd been combined with the other set, oops.

Thank you for that information for future use!!

You realize all you need to do to fix this is open the child post, hit the edit button, and clear out the "Parent" field?

Not something I knew how to do until Siral Exan told me how, I'm afraid.

People start somewhere--thank you for educating yourself to fix a problem :D A lot of people would just look the other way! :)
