Topic: Animal Crossing nsfw game

Posted under Off Topic

A project I've had planned since early 2017, some art and animations are done for it, but of course there's lots of stuff ahead and it's something I'd really like to completely finish and release to public.

But since I haven't been feeling like it lately, and don't want to work on it in this state, I thought I'd take this to some forum (e621 seemed like the most comfortable one for me) and discuss it a little, and also let the community decide about a few things, in the hopes someone actually notices this topic..

So lets get started;
I haven't really decided about the core system of the game, like, how it all works. Firstly I wanted it to be set in a big city, where most of the residents we know live, and as you meet each individual you talk to them eventualy achieving sex with them in their home. While that idea might be okay, I dunno how each resident can be met. Either make it a "knock on that person's door" or you could meet them at the café, each time different residents would appear. Or scrap all that and just make them all accessible right off the bat. I really don't know because while I'm a fan of stuff that is being done in a creative way, I also acknowlage that when it comes to nsfw it's better just there, instead of doing a dozen of things before comming to the nsfw part.

Next up is the actual player character; and the reason I'm stuck with that is that I dunno what kind of character to pick. There are horses, wolves etc. And some users might prefer a horsecock and some not. Making all of that available would be difficult and I wanna keep the game a bit simple, so I dunno. I might end up with all of it there.

Next are other characters, I wanted to make some of them unique, or limited. Eg. hasn't a high chance of spawning, or is available in other ways than the others. I know that people would prefer to have them all, but the limited way would be more fun, so I'm letting this one up for the opinions of you guys.

And lastly I'd like to read a general opinion on the game from you guys :)
If you have qestions, feel free to ask here.

Let the player choose from a base of small choices. If its 3d rigged then it shouldnt be much issue.

Pixelic/retro 2d, so everything is being done by hand.

The way you're describing it makes it sound less like an animal crossing game and more like a typical dating sim game.

Can't think of a different way to make it work. :/ Given the innocent and adorable nature of ac villagers, i can't imagine them telling you to fuck them straight away.

i really wouldnt recommend pixely retro style for porn games. while its easier to animate and stuff, its super difficult to make appealing as jerk off material... and that is the whole point of porn games. very few can to jerk off to pixels and even fewer can to jerk off to it unless its really well done

It's going to be much better than lets say this: https://e621.net/post/show/458814/2014-3-all_fours-animal_genitalia-animal_penis-ani
And even that has a lot of faves for whatever reason, not even talking about banned from equestria.

Edit: I'm fiddling with the sprites and stuff until it looks appealing. I want it to be pixelic yes, but also detailed and nice.

Why does it have to be "right away"?

I think it would be fine to just do things like this:

Overview

Start with, as a base, regular Animal Crossing gameplay. Go around, go fishing, collect bugs, talk to villagers, so on and so forth. But focus a bit more on villager personality.

So for each of the villagers, they would have some "interests," level of "affection," and "kinks."

Affection is raised by interacting with them. Sending letters, doing favors, playing games, you know how it is. Their interests represent their unique aspects. Think about it like what they are looking for in a partner. These are given away by the hints in their dialogue. And their kinks determine what sort of sex scenes are available with them.

An example

Let's say you wanted to implement Fauna into the game. Affection is a general system, no need to do anything specific there. Her interests could include "love of plants," "dislike of fish," and "morning-goer."

So let's say then you tried to ask her out, the game would do a check first for affection. If that failed - "I'm sorry [player], I don't even know you that well! I'm flattered though dearie." If it passed the affection check, it would check next for interests. For the ones I listed, it would check "have you watered / planted at least 20 plants over the last 3 days," "have you caught fewer than five fish in the last 3 days," and "is it morning right now that you're asking her out?"

If not all pass, "I'm sorry, you're just not my type, dearie." All those checks pass, and congratulations, she says yes. If you wanted you could have the same traits with two levels - a less strict level (say, "catch fewer than 5 fish in the last 3 days" and a more strict level ("catch fewer than 3 fish in the last 5 days") - the first being the prerequisite to date a character with the "dislike of fish" trait, the second being a prerequisite to bring them to bed (along with even higher affection).

Some trait ideas

"Love of fish/bugs" - have caught a minimum number of fish/bugs each day.
"Dislike of fish/bugs" - have caught a maximum number of fish/bugs over the last few days.
"Love of plants" - water and plant a lot.
"Penpal" - send them lots of letters.
"Morninggoer/Nightowl" - talk to them at the right time of day.
"Jealous" - can't be dating any other villagers
"A place to live" - have an upgraded house
"Golddigger" - have a huge number of bells
"Gay/Lesbian/Straight" - be the right gender to date this particular character. Bisexual characters would just lack any of these.

I'm sure there's a lot more that could be thought of too.

Anyway this would probably require totally shifting what you had in mind so far, but if I were to work on a game like this, that's what I'd want to do. Evoke that Animal Crossing feel, but allow the building up of a relationship.

From your reply I thought you completely dislike the concept of the game, thus my reply. Your idea is fine, I like how the kinks would affect individual scenes, and it's something I'll probably consider, however, I wanted to keep the game also somewhat simple, with the focus set on collecting pictures of villagers too, but mainly the sex scenes.
