actually i think that disambiguating spitroast could be useful. like
spitroast position and spitroast (cooking) or something

Looks like spitroast_(object) has 12 and roasting_spit has 21. Either one will work and the other can be aliased to it. Any preferences?

Also for OP's alias, agree with Genjar, +1 for the reverse. Most of our sex position tags have *_position suffix for consistency, clarity and wildcard searching. So it's probably better to make spitroast_position the name for it.

Looked at the uploads tagged with spitroast_(object) and/or roasting_spit and all seem to be gory uploads. (ew!) Retag as spitroast_(gore) or similar tag?

related: Not included in either or those two is post #20124 which is tagged with donner_party but
A) isn't really a party (more cannibalism out of desperation)
B) that's not a doner (aka donair) ... doner involve a vertical rotisserie ... 20124 has a horizontal rotisserie (or spit).

The donner party was an event of cannibalism, so that tag is probably accurate

as for the gore part, I think we should change the sexual act to spitroast_position (reverse the alias) and the food category to spitroast_(cooking)

Plus one for spitroast_position.
All of the other sex positions are under *_position, even the broad ones such as from_behind_position. And it'd help differentiate it from spitroast_(cooking).

Bumping as this relates to forum #236033.

Can we revisit flipping this alias? It's the odd one out for all of the other *_position tags.

Most of the related tags section in the sex positions page, either specialize an existing position or involve an arrangement of characters which doesn't seem integrated enough to be considered a true position (such as, for instance, daisy_chain, which is a loose aggregate of another position, mating_press, which is a specific view of missionary_position, and doggystyle, which is a specialization of from_behind_position).

There is one exception however. Should this alias also exist?
1961 -> 1961_position
