Topic: Replace Alias: 'bbw' -> 'overweight_female'

Posted under Tag Alias and Implication Suggestions

The acronym clearly suggests a preferred gender, but currently links to 'overweight', and returns both male and female results. The intended result can be gotten by 'bbw female', which is redundant.

Posted as a thread because the suggestion form wasn't happy the alias already existed.

I'm not sure. While bbw would normally imply a preferred gender, it's not clear that in the context of fantasy art it does.
eg. do people tag things bbw herm?
If they do, changing the alias will result in incorrect tags when bbw herm or bbw dickgirl are tagged.

Well...

number of poststagtags aliased to this tagtags implicated to this tag
30,858overweightplump, fat, pudgy, bbw, fattyoverweight_maleherm, overweight_herm, overweight_dickgirl, overweight_cuntboy, overweight_intersex, overweight_ambiguous, overweight_male, overweight_female, obese, morbidly_obese
3,573overweight_malefat_malemale, overweight
2,965 overweight_female __ female, overweight
144overweight_intersex __ overweight, Intersex
123overweight_dickgirl __ overweight, dickgirl
103overweight_ambiguous__overweight, ambiguous_gender
32overweight_cuntboy__overweight, cuntboy
12overweight_herm__overweight, herm
3overweight_maleherm __ overweight, maleherm

Whew.

So:

1) the overweight_* tags are very underused.
2) several implications are missing

the overweight_male tag's wiki page was created on April 1st 2016... many of the aliases were first discussed in July 2016...

Anyway.

Here's my thoughts:

1. we need to fill in the missing implications:

  • overweight_cuntboy implies overweight_intersex

overweight_dickgirl implies overweight_intersex
overweight_herm implies overweight_intersex
overweight_maleherm implies overweight_maleherm

2. these are relatively new implications and even if people ARE tagging bbw dickgirl or BBW herm, it has been done less than 200 times. People can learn.

the BBW -> overweight alias was created dec 2015 by parasprite, and near as I can tell, did not have a related forum thread.

People who are new to the site and search for BBW are lookign for pictures of women. Not fat people in general. searching for 'bbw woman' is redundant.

BBW should imply overweight_female.

it's not like people don't already tag dickgirls and herms as overweight_female because they don't know better or something

...and slightly chubby characters as overweight_*, yes. I'm a bit wary about any aliases/implications that could potentially make those tags even messier.
