The reasoning for them being deleted was due to them "being human only, skin color and masks don't count."

I find this to be an incorrect statement for the gallery of e621 as the Shyguy tag is quite plentiful here, and not just with other characters.

Same goes for the Hylian tag, which is human, but with pointed ears, yet it is allowed here and is far "more human" than the shyguys.

Can I have some official word on this decision? Are all future uploads of shyguys forbidden here?

Someone already asked about why they were deleted (forum #253942), and Ratte already answered.

Short answer: they do not possess nonhuman traits in those images.

If something just looks like a human wearing a mask it'll get deleted for being irrelevant.

Humanoids need to show a nonhuman trait in order to be accepted if they are featured alone in their own posts. Pointed ears are a nonhuman trait so elves are accepted. A mask is an article of clothing, not a physical feature of the body. If the mask appears to -be- the face (blushing, mouth expression, etc) then we can consider the mask to be a body part given that it's acting like a face would, not just an item.

That older things exist on the site is not a reason to allow things we disallow.

I seems like if the masks are showing blush, emotion, sweat or anything that might make them seem like organic tissue would make the post fine, in all other cases it's impossible to determine if it's a human in a costume and/or body paint.
