I think it's supposed to be an April Fool's prank meant to represent a dead pixel

I think the April Fools joke is the clickbait followed by the immediate speculations about what the April Fools joke is...

It doesn't appear every time. I've only seen it once so far.
A few years back it was the same thing, just visible all the time. Got me real good.

I got fooled until I tried moving my browser window around. This is the thing. I was wondering how many people would actually notice.

Anyone wants to help me throw a couple "broken" monitors at Kira for that joke? ;)

EDIT : For those who are not getting it, it could be a browser cache thing. I usually browse e6 in private browsing mode, which normally prevents reusing cache between sessions. The rest can use Ctrl + F5 to force refresh the page, which forces the browser to redownload everything instead of reusing the data from last time.

EDIT2 : Seems to be somewhat random, too, I'm guessing something around a 1/5 or 1/10 chance per force-refresh.

It has a 15% chance of showing up. I was hoping that it would take people a bit longer to notice it that way. It's more a homage to the old one than anything.

Doesn't work on mobile either, alas. If I were able to do it again I'd remove the chance for it to show up and make it always show up.

Well, it kinda works in mobile, except that it zooms and scales with the screen. https://cdn.discordapp.com/attachments/408788005206360068/430159299466100769/Screenshot_20180401-191837.png

But to be fair, it did make me believe I actually had a dead pixel, so I guess it worked
