I think a more detailed discussion about what one favorites and why one favorites things might be more interesting. For instance, some people who use this site regularly rarely if ever favorite things and I was wondering if that was because they simply download and save the things they like? Or maybe they don't want to hoard art at all.

I figured with V1rus_Unkn0wn saying they're ashamed they have 7000 favourites, they were hoping to get an idea of how many favourites people had so that they didn't feel as ashamed. So if everyone had about 100 faves they'd know they were a bit odd, whereas if everyone else has 100,000 then they wouldn't feel as bad/ashamed.

Either that or they're just curious to see who's got the highest.

And with me saying 100,000, I remembered Dracotay had a lot, but didn't realise how many, 284,992.

Personally I just fave the things I like. I never really vote on posts and rarely vote on comments, the only time I vote on comments is when a comment on one of my posts gets a negative for no reason, which a lot do within the first half hour after uploading, apparently.

Actually, I'm ashamed that I have such a low favorite number. I need to use this site more frequently.

196, and I occasionally offload stuff into sets to keep that number low. Having uncountable amounts of favs kinda defeats the purpose, TBH.

I need to do some cleaning and see if I can get that number back down to around 100.

As of now I have 17,780, though I suspect that number is inaccurate due to a large number of deleted favorites because my manual math gave me a total of 16,178

I use the favorites to save posts I would like to fap to, or that made me laugh/smile/etc.

I'll occasionally use it as a search parameter when I want to "find that image I just saw the other day but it wasn't tagged super-specifically So I'd be spending ages scrolling through a big tag like dragons or penis".
