There are other types of cellphones, and it is difficult to find the different versions when at least one of them is aliased away. Of course, smartphone should still imply cellphone.

A quick google for the simple terms reveals that, whether that's their proper name or not, other phones are acknowledged by such terms:
brick_phone
flip_phone
slide_phone
But what about the kind that was thin, but didn't flip or slide? They came in classic phone style and keyboard style

+1, there are ridiculously precise tags so completely different phone types should have different tags imo.

I'm pretty sure that cellphone and mobile phone are the "catch all" terms for all and every phone you can carry with you.

I was trying to think of terms which would've been used with regular phone before touchscreens became a thing (from era where everyone was making jokes that future phones are small cubes), the small phones with regular or qwerty keyboard under the screen, but can't think of any. I think I heard term communicator thrown for phones with sliding qwerty keyboard, but it appears it was used for that one specific nokia phone which you can text with excel.

However as site still goes from visual standpoint, I would say that those phones are more of the generic ones, so tagging clearly distinguishable ones like flip phones and smartphones is already huge step forward.

Just bumping this. Perhaps in the near future, if we have hologram phones, would it still be classified as a cellphone?
