Topic: still hanging around for abit, got a question for anime watchers.

Posted under Off Topic

Anyway, I'm still around the site, but I will be refraining from getting involved in comments or tagging at least untill I'm done with the withdrawl...just to be safe.

However I have a question,
I'm trying to find an anime series I was watching on my desktop (which is in storage since shortly after I started watching it I ended up homeless for 7 or 8 months..).
I can only remember snips of it, something about demons vs "the church" one notable thing I remember was that the main character had a sword hidden inside him, it was like a wolf demon or something, the other is around the start of the series they ended up picking up a eyeball demon, its the size of a tennis ball, covered in black fur, and if you get it wet it gets enormous.

Probably one of the few things e621 can do to help meneight now is if someone can id the series. Keeps me busy and not focused on...well, how much this hurts.

Hello, Esme! Unfortunately, I don't know that anime (or I don't recognize it), but I still came to say hi.

I see you have my newest upload as your fursona. :)

Anyway, I don't recall any anime with the description you've provided us. Sorry I couldn't help. :(

Is it old or new?

Haven't seen it, tried to find it, no luck.
I can maybe recommend a different anime worth watching?

Hey anything you can recommend I'll check out, I'm basicly bed ridden right now. And hakkenden sounds familiar

I think its is or was on going when I first started watching it. Which was maybe 10 months ago.

I was thinking Blue Exorcist, but that didn't seem quite right. Hellsing Ultimate is pretty fucking awesome. If you haven't had the pleasure of seeing Cowboy Bebop, I suggest that one, too.

I'm looking through what Hulu has for free, not sure what other viewing options you might have.
Soul Eater is good(subtitled, not sure about the dub haven't tried it).
Ruroni Kenshin is a pretty solid one too.
They have Trigun which I watched a good amount of, and enjoy.
Claymore is supposed to be good too, though I haven't watched it personally.

They seems to have a pretty huge amount of anime available now, a lot of titles I recognize.
Probably would do ok by trying ones you like the look of for an episode or two to find ones that interest you.

Edit: Oh god, they have Sgt. Frog, you should watch Sgt. Frog it's hilarious.

Use this site for any anime you want:

I recommend Tokyo Ghoul.

Sounds like D.Gray-man, from the 1.5 episodes I sort of watched at my friend's place and his half-explanations. I remember religious order fighting demons and a bat-like, maybe-eyeball thingy following the protagonists.

"Sword of Exorcism (退魔ノ剣 (たいまけん), Taima no Tsurugi, lit. Repelling Demon's Sword): When Allen's synchronization rate exceeds 100%, he is able to transmute his entire left arm into a large broadsword with a cross emblazoned on the faces of the blade."

But this isn't the show?

Privileged

I've never seen the anime. The manga is pretty good.

If you're going to do Hellsing, I recommend reading the Manga. The animes (I think there are two different ones) drop too much content.

The anime isn't bad, just watch it before reading the manga and you won't miss anything.

Hellsing Anime, Hellsing Manga/Ultimate OVA and after that Hellsing Ultimate OVA Abridged by Takahata01.

Hellsing Anime is a bastardization of the Manga but still pretty good, Manga is a class for itself and the Ultimate OVA is genius, but sadly has to drop some quirks of the mange since time restraints are a thing in animations.
And the abridged version is just too awesome for words. Basically the same except that alucard is a complete asshole and only cares for his personal entertainment, perfectly done, I really recommend watching it, the first ep doesn't have 5.7 million views for nothing.

Alucard: "I was minding my own budiness-"

Integra: "Bullshit!"

Lol, I remember that

Question, do you have to register to be able to view the actual video on there?
Gogoanime is ok, but I have been getting one security warning after another on their and thoushands of ads.
I WAS watching the legend of korra but I'm stuck on ep 11, the video is fractured, and my kindles buttons stop working as the video plays. Never had that happen before.
If anyone wants to check and see if they have the same problem go ahead, just make sure you have your ad block on maximum

I second this. Be very sure to watch DBZ Abridged too if you're familiar with the real thing (but who isn't?), it's made by the same people. Awesomely awesome stuff, especially after season 1 (pretty much the Saiyan saga) when they got the audio quality up to show standards and the splicing and lip sync became downright professional. The voice acting is also top-notch.

They're currently up to Cell's first appearance and have done a bunch of movies, so you've got plenty to catch up when you haven't seen it already. I can see a good laugh help release some of that tension, Esme.
