I would have suggested shadow but apparently it has the same problem as shade in being a common name of characters in games...

Also +1 to a disambiguation sense shade is in fact a fairly common name for species or characters in gaming and cartoons

I know, just said this is one of the possible meanings of 'shade' that make the tag ambiguous.

+1; it's also the name of a Dungeons & Dragons race. There may also be confusion with tags beginning with shadow.
