Well there different tags there bdsm then goose down to both sexslave and slave wich I believe become a tool for labor and sex without consent and there petplay where they act like a slave in a form of bdsm but should we make it so we have slave play or kept it as bdsm

however.

BDSM is "Bondage & Discipline, Domination & Submission, and Sadism & Masochism" -- there is typically a power play dynamic involved--a dominate party and a submissive one, and very very usually there is some degree of bondage involved, limiting the submissive's movement to some degree.

petplay is a type of roleplay. It CAN be, but isn't always, part of BDSM. You COULD have a fox character dressed as horse and be forcing them to tow a cart around while whipping them lightly and that would probably be BDSM. However. pet play can easily be one character crawling around on all fours and woofing in answer to "who's been a good girl?"

slave is a general catch all for any sort of 'being owned' and there is not always clear if the slavery is consentual or not.

As, BDSM is *always* consentual. if there is not consent, then it is not BDSM. Though that can be a little fuzzy with art. This is why the idea of safewords is used, so that one CAN say "no, stop now" if needed.

But slavery is not always sexual either.

Beyond that, we have breeding_slave and sex_slave as tags The slave related tags are honestly pretty messy -- some of them are just bondage situations rather than any sort of obvious ownership. But tha'ts a side tangent.

Pet play isn't slave play. :)
