Topic: Learning about uploading; Aggrobadger Minotaur sequence(s)

Posted under General

Hello. I created an account recently and am still getting used to editing and uploading, despite viewing e621 for long time. Please help me learn by using this as an example. If I'm doing anything improperly, please let me know.

I have created a pool for Aggrobadger's Minotaur TF sequence (pool #16022). That's all for the site's art, but I know of a few pieces that look like they belong in the sequence or in a sequel sequence (I searched on DuckDuckGo for "Minotaur TF" [no safe search]). I do not know if I would be okay to upload these pictures, as I am not the commissioner nor the artist and have not talked to either of them for permission to upload.

1) In general, is this correct: I cannot upload something unless I have permission from the author, comissioner, and/or owner.

2) If not, would I still be able to upload these particular posts with the idea that someone got permission for the first part of the sequence?

3) If I can upload these images, what source URL should I try to get them from?

Here are the posts:
DuckDuckGo search

Image two
Image three

Thank you!

permission is not required unless its dnp content. though its polite to ask first.

I just wanted to say: I really love seeing a "new" user leaping in and getting involved! Please don't be afraid to ask questions! :D

(and if anyone gives you trouble, don't mind them-- some of us can be pretty gruff, but generally we all love this place and want to see it thrive. :)

(most of us. There have been a few people I've seen over my years here that I am pretty sure hated this place and hated being here, but there's always SOMEONE... :) )

siikaprinssi sums it up pretty well: Permission's not *required*, but highly encouraged! That said, for Aggrobadger specifically, with over 1000 posts here, it is *probably* safe to assume that they don't mind their art being here

The biggest problem would be the risk that these are paid content-- locked behind a patreon, for example, or a 'zine. As such, the BEST place to get a source would be from one of Aggrobadger's personal galleries. Other websites--like 4chan-- can sometimes post pirated content, which would be bad and get you in trouble.

If you're having trouble finding a source for the pictures, you CAN message aggrobadger about it and ask. Just be as polite and friendly as you are now :) (but make sure you look first before asking for help <3 )

Have a wonderful day :D

Thank you for the help! I’ve tried searching FA, Weasel, and Twitter. I don’t have a Twitter, so that last one is still up in the air, but I didn’t find it on the other two.

I’m going to guess that if I DuckDuckGo for “Aggrobadger Minotaur” and can only see the original sequence (while searching for “Minotaur TF” uncovered the second one) and since the only places I found hosting it were not typical art account sites, then the art is normally pay-only.

What’s the best way to contact Aggrobadger? I’m sure he (she? ._.) wouldn’t mind giving a quick response. I have not come close to doing something like messaging an artist.

After some quick googling I'd say his FurAffinity ; been on a couple months break but made a post just couple of hours ago. His DevianArt is as dead as can be.
