I would want to suggest this to be either a Feature Request or an Implication Suggestion. I definitely put this topic in a general suggestion, at first. My apologies if this topic is somewhat related to similar ones and/or already talked about.

I wanted for this to be a general discussion at first to see, if many of you can agree to it, especially to the e621 admins, staff and the community.

I was thinking of most of the posts here in this site with pooled Mangas & Comics and solo pictures itself with foreign languages. On the particular picture, its note/s shows the translated word/statement of where it is placed. I would also recommend that it also needs to add the language used (+[language placeholder]_text)

...and how it is pronounced by saying it (like Romanji, in Japanese transcription), something similar from clicking your 'My Account' and pointing your mouse cursor to the highlighted greeting and shows a small box right besides the mouse cursor (example: "Maligayang Pagdating", Welcome in "Filipino").

But this time its from the translation note/s (also for removal of the tag +translation_request, and highly recommended for other complex signs/language).

While at it, at bonus for it, it can also help particular users/translators for reference on the particular language text shown for easier translation and for the rest of the users to understand the language to the ones' learning and practicing in it, especially when it comes to second opinions and some sorts.

Well, I do transcribe Japanese on occasion, and I put it in description to make it easy for other users to copy and paste it into like Google translate or something. That's a big issue with Japanese, people who would want some sort of automated translation often cannot type the characters. Moving it from description to notes would tank usability, it's not easy to copy text from the notes. Translation notes work well because you aren't supposed to copy that text, just read it.

Romaji is pretty much useless imo. Except I dunno for native speakers maybe. If you don't know how to read it, you'll have to look it up in a dictionary, or use Google Translate, and you'll get your reading there. I"ve seen some posts there with Romaji transcription, it's meh.

Spanish example doesn't feel convincing really, I can type Spanish even if I don't speak the language. Japanese kinda stands out in this respect. But then, e6 is a search engine of sorts so having indexable strings makes sense.
