Topic: Nessie vs The Loch Ness Monster

Posted under Tag/Wiki Projects and Questions

Weirdly, we have two tags for the Loch Ness Monster cryptid, equally used: nessie and loch_ness_monster.
I think the nessie tag is sometimes used to refer to Nessie from "The Ballad of Nessie", which is confusing people a litte: the Nessie character tag should probably be replaced with nessie_(tbon) for easier searching, and implicated to loch_ness_monster.

I'm happy to have a crack at sorting this out unless anyone can think of why these two tags exist separately - tbh I have no idea how cryptids are usually tagged, I thought they'd get a species tag instead.

Huh, Didn't even consider "The Loch Ness Monster" or any Cryptid could
BE on e621, That's amazing within its self, Dood! ◠‿◠)

Though looking into it, I was even more surprised to find that there wasn't
even One "Gay" or even "Male Solo" submission; Which got me thinking
Is Nessie canonically female?

Terribly sorry if asking is distracting from the tagging topic at hand,
which I really hope get's sorted out since that could cause some
confusion but, the topic just got me thinking is all, Dood. ╹‿╹)
