Aliasing abdomen → insect_abdomen
Link to alias

Reason:

The former is already meant to refer to insect abdomens, so this would avoid confusion. Speaking of which, there's a bunch of posts tagged abdomen whose tagger clearly meant abs, and almost every single damn one of which are by the same guy, dragmon, who uploads his own art. He seems to have been doing this for a damn year and hasn't twigged up yet. Could some admin or such mass-edit the abdomen in his posts to abs and maybe message him or something? Thanks.

-1 for alias.
Too likely to be mistagged. The 'insect abdomen' tag should be made completely separate, and the basic abdomen should be invalidated or at least disambiguated like other body parts.

Also, what about arachnids and such, that aren't insects but have similar anatomy?

This would very much be a nice tag to have, because I've posted some stuff lately that's like "that should have a tag but ...?

Well, most people already use "bug" or "insect" as synonym for non-aquatic arthropod anyway. Maybe alias all the arthropod subphylum/class abdomen tags to arthropod_abdomen?

I worry about arthropod_abdomen being a bit too wordy. Hm. Ain't a better word for it, shy of going slangish and saying "bug_abdomen" or something.

Bug_butt :D

Bug_abdomen doesn't sound too bad. Personally, I'd rather call arachnids 'bugs' than 'insects'.

But the insect_abdomen_* tag group is decently established already. Even though some of the combo tags sound pretty bad to me. insect_abdomen_pussy, insect_abdomen_cunnilingus. Those will cause typo problems in the long run.

For now, I think the posts should just be moved from abdomen to insect_abdomen. Abdomen is clearly mistagged frequently, so aliasing it would just make a mess.

So, I just got an update about an implication being denied, because this particular one got approved, by DiceLovesBeingBlown.

Apologies, should've come to explain it here, I'm super forgetful with explanations lmfao: basically I edited your suggestion, changing insect_abdomen to invertebrate_abdomen, and THEN approved it.

Oh, whoops. I misread insect as invertebrate and thought this was suggestion exactly what got implicated.

A bit weird since that can be non-"insect-like" creatures too, like jellyfish... aaand now I'm trying to imagine an anthro jellyfish with abs -_-

Exactly why it's now known as the invertebrate_abdomen tag :)

Kinda what I was getting at, diverse tag group. Spiders, worms, clams, giant squids... Giant squids with abs >.>

If it's too broad, it can be easily altered to arthropod_abdomen, and then that's mostly solved

Though with the way you're thinking, these aren't "abs" at all; the traditional "abdomen" anatomy is entirely different than abdominals, though often get mistagged as such due to the vague name, hence our attempts at dealing with it.

In the next few days I'm gonna research and see if it can be found in any non-arthropods, and if not I may be tempted to alter it to arthropod_abdomen

Gotcha, +1 for plan. might have been off topic, but this got me trying to think specifically of what semi-anthro-ish versions of some of them might look like with abs... Drawing blanks. Easy to imagine a cartoon worm with abs, where the heck would you put them on a squid though since their mouth is between their legs. A good way might not exist, I try adding an abdomen somewhere as a place to put abs and suddenly I've jumped to Squidward 0.o

Arthropod is not the easiest word to spell, so I hope this doesn't cause typo problems in the long run.

Maybe alias insect_abdomen_cunnilingus to arthropod_* too? Although it's not really used much...
