Topic: Flagging more than five re-used bases.

I just wondered why it isn't possible to flag images for being over the "five re-used base" limit.

Forgive me if this has been answered before, I searched the forum but couldn't find anything.

I was just checking tags for my tagbot and found an avian post with five children, with the only difference being the colour of them, I went to flag then then realised it wasn't an option.

(Not linked as I'm not sure how strict the "back-seat moderating" rule is. I'm pretty sure it doesn't apply to things like this, but I'd rather be safe than sorry.)

I thought something along the lines of the option and five boxes for the other post IDs could work.

I just add them to set:spam and hope someone with appropriate rank weeds threw it

Thanks for that, though I don't really know how to add it to a set. The "add to set" shows a blank list, and adding "set:spam" to the tags updates the post but doesn't add it to the set.

I'll link it here, looking at it again I'm not sure if it'd count as a base, as the eyes have been edited:

(Actually linked it this time as, again, I'm pretty sure it's only backseat moderating when you're telling an admin what to do, or impersonating one.)

that's because it's my personal made set and only people that are added as maintainers can alter its contents, I can add you as one if you want

There is. Select first/primary/best post as parent to rest of the posts, then flag the posts inferior/dublicate. Alternatively message one of the approver and ask their opinion on the matter.

However keep in mind that 5 is still guideline, I have done exceptions to this deliberately for example. Also if there is continuation it can be ruled as semi-comic of sort.

Also this is one of those things similar to human only content that staff should technically already keep tabs on things when doing approvals. However sometimes things slip by, robinebra was really famous for this and uploaded edits one in a month and ensured that seperate staff members were to approve things so nobody would get suspicious.

Thanks for that, I didn't realise that'd be allowed. With the rules saying to only flag if there's an option for it, it feels a bit misleading to not have one specifically for that, if it's actually ok to flag it.

Oh, ok. I thought it was more of a hard rule, than a guideline.

The more I hear about Robinebra the more I think of how bad the headache would be when trying to fix all that.

Checking his profile, there's a blip shown from one of your replies with this in:

It's roughly 1900 posts and a quarter of his total uploads..
