Topic: "Not_furry" tag

Posted under General

Who's the moron who keeps tagging everything with this pointless tag? Seriously, it's such a pointless tag that only shows how pathetic one can be to go through hundreds of images just to slap it on for no reason other than "hurr it not furry yiff uwu" Just hide the shit you don't like for gods sake.

The tag isn't pointless.

It's for filtering things that aren't related to anthro animals, feral animals, animal humanoids, etc.

It's there so people can hide shit they don't like.

not_furry is a valid tag so that people can, in your own words, "hide the shit you don't like for gods sake".
Instead of walking into our house and telling us how to do things, perhaps read our guides on how stuff works here. You've been here for 5 years, I'd have suspected you would know how things work around here.

Guess what clever boi, this site is largely tagged threw these fancy things called

Implications

Implications, automatically add tags when other tags are added. Not_Furry, just so happens to have an implication that goes with it! Quite useful really.

"Just hide the content you don't like"
Ding Ding Ding! You figured it out mate! Did you know part of the intention behind this tag, is actually for that purpose? A tag so people know what to blacklist! Great!

It's also great for if someone is looking for say, androids! but human or elf styled. Only finding furry androids? No problem, Not_Furry tag!

This may suprise you, but you are on a furry site.

basically
1. it's not singular person tagging it for their personal purposes. the tag has been in wide use for far longer than you have been on this site
2. this is furry focused site, so people will bitch if there's not furry content and no way to get rid of it. it's better for everyone involved to have a tag that allows people to hide not furry content. people who hate not furry content can blacklist it, and people who like it wont have to look at bitching
3. i actually like not furry content a lot, and i want a way to look at pics of humanoid demons, aliens and shit without tiddy nekos and anthros swamping up the search results whenever i want that. i doubt i'm the only one

It kind of seems like the OP's original purpose may have been more to rant more than say anything constructive. Their username seems to support the idea. Are we just feeding a troll here?

I agree. I'm surprised this thread isn't locked yet

I don't think so. Their tag history suggests they just don't understand how e6 works.

Comment history implies they just haven't thought through all the reasoning. They didn't state it here, but their main argument against not_furry is "just blacklist human", disregarding that some people want to see human/humanoid_on_[not human/oid] but not posts that exclusively feature humans/humanoids. Best rage comment I found was on a Link x Peach post in which you can't see any of Link's distinguishing features at all and I can only assume was allowed because it's part of a sequential imageset. I can't imagine why anyone would want that tagged not_furry. (No, for the person about to suggest it; it's not Grandfathered, it's only a three year old post)

Protip: openly mocking someone being a dumbass is never "feeding a troll". It's mocking someone being dumb
