Soon We'll reach 2 million post on this Website & it'll be a huge moment for every user of this site. But a few Question arise ;

#1 is What will happen short before (site crash, upload spam in the 100's or 1000's??, other?)

#2 What Will post 2000000 be of? Something Nice? Same as the 1000000:th post? Ruined by Scat or other "unpopular fetish" Maybe the E621 mascot?

#3 How long did it take to get to 1000000? & then 2000000? When should we according to math hit post 3000000? & offcourse the 10:000:000:th Post?

#4 kinda related to question #3 What is the Current cost to run the website & all that come with that? & how much does the cost increase over time & will add revenue be enough or will the site eventually have to ask for money like Wikipedia to keep up? Site cost compared to 1000000 to now/2000000? (& eventually 3000000 & 10000000?) Lag / rendering time can also be relevant?

#5 anything else worth discussing about milestones for the Website? or anything that fit's this Celebratory questionnaire? / Milestone Discussion?

Hopefully it's a highly politicized and controversial meme about the 2020 election.

The post with an ID of post #1000000 was uploaded on September 18th, 2016. It was eventually replaced with a superior version, ID'd post #1250072, which was uploaded June 20th, 2017. It is just a picture of Princess Luna from MLP and has nothing to do with the milestones.

Considering we're currently at the 1,925,000s and there's roughly 75,000 to go, with 100 - 1000 ish posts uploaded daily, I'd say there's still a while to reach 2,000,000.

In addition, there are "unofficial"(?) e621 mascots. There's Esix, Arès, Hexerade, and a few that, to my knowledge, are unnamed.

I think the bigger question is why would anyone write 2 million like 2:000:000? I don't know of any language that uses colons to split off large numbers for easier reading, it's only for actually distinct numbers that still belong together, like time, coordinates, bits in IP numbers, and similar.

Chances are we're actually at like 1,8m as it wasn't cleaned up for a while, just like it happened before at 1mil.

Still, quite achievement, we hit the 1M only couple years ago.

Especially considering everything that has happened between that, including the drama over deleting all paid material which would turn this website into desert and us apparently being transphobic site supporting pedophilia which would lead everyone boycotting us.

Post 2,000,000 means the post with ID 2000000, not when the counter on the front page reaches 2,000,000

It would be anticlimactic to have a milestone like this, only for the to be post either a low effort Instagram doodle, a human only post or a low effort Instragram photo of a doodle of a human. Let's hope it's not a post that doesn't meet the standards.

I can still remember on FurAffinity in 2016 where we were supposed to have a 20 millionth post, only for the servers to break down and not knowing what that 20 millionth post was.
