Topic: I'm unintentionally racking up moderation

Posted under General

Well, this is unpleasant. Ive been given an upsetting perception of myself here, because i continue to be breaking the "Dont be creepy" rule, even though I'm not trying to be. Starting to think i should just keep my digital mouth shut from now on.

A good place to start is to not make a forum thread about it.

You were given a negative record and not even banned. Keep it clean and the records can be removed eventually.

If you wanna keep your mouth shut, probably best not to make a forum post about it.

How to not be a creepy:

1.) Don't talk about your sexual bodily functions
2.) Don't talk about your sexual fantasies involving the submissions
3.) Don't go into detail about your past sexual encounters

If i can be honest, i had gotten the idea that TMI didnt really exist on a site people consume pornography. But it is my fault for not immediately reading the rules and then after i have, seemingly forget them when i want to say something relating to a post.

I can see the error in the things ive written looking back and i apologize. Shit I'm really a hypocrite, ive always been sensitive to what people say to me i should understand full well the things i say can do the same thing to others.

The thing is that this site is not a porn site. It's an art site that also allows porn. Serving porn for porn consumers is not the purpose of this site, or any sort of focus. So it still needs to be tolerable place for people who are not here for porn since it's not place created for porn consumers to be freely horny.

That's definitely understandable, hence all the safe rated artwork.

It's rather hard to see your side of the story, Noveltwin, when the staff have started an uncouth habit of deleting any comments in question.

As far as I'm aware they're only hidden, and often are hidden by the user.

I had a quick look on the forum but couldn't find it, I remember an admin, possibly NotMeNotYou, saying that they don't censor comments, and leave them up, that it's up to the user to hide them, if they want to.

Edit:
Please correct me if I'm wrong though, I just haven't seen staff hiding comments myself, and as I said, I remember them saying they don't do that.

Oh, okay
Edit: It never dawned on me until now to check the moderator actions and isolate deleted comments. They actually do that as often as I thought at all
Edit2: didn't know Hidden comments were a separate thing either

After reviewing the audit log which is publicly visible, some comments that shouldn't have been hidden were hidden(I've mentioned this in staff chat). While those comments will not be unhidden because it is too tedious to go through all of them, this should no longer be the case for future comments. (Only comments that contain personal information, leaked content, malware, or other stuff that users should not see will be hidden)
HOWEVER Noveltwin hid his own comments, this was not action taken by administration.
While I will not copy the comment in it's entirety, it revolved around raping and the commenter's genitals.

I, actually did hide a few, yes. After them being pointed out by the Admin, i felt embarrassed of myself for having made them to begin with.

...i really hope people dont assume how you just made it sound, cause just giving that vague summary without the full comment and the context of the blackkitten comic makes it sound a lot worse.
