I made a joke recently that I didn't release that came off a creepy and had got a warning for it. Was wondering if there was a way for me to some how make up for the mistake I made.

Records "decay" in 6 months. Neutrals are removed, and negative turn into neutrals.

Just try and be careful and mindful of what you say from now on. Neutral records will decay in 6 months, so it will be gone once it gets that old.

Really? I have records older than that but they're still visible on my profile...

You have to message an admin to have them removed. It's manual, not automated.

Iirc records don't decay in case of repeat offenses in the same area.

As far as I know they are not differentiated by type, any record resets "the timer".

It would likely be less of an issue if not for your habit of getting a new record to replace the old one. A bit of self-control and understanding could go a long way toward a better reputation.

It'd also help if the rules were better refined as to not be vague and up to interpretation, such as creepy comments and roleplay.

For creepy comments, it's often classed as creepy for "self insertion", so things like: "I'd X them" and "I wish I was X", and roleplaying with characters in the art.

Remember that admins don't go around looking for creepy comments, they're mostly all reported then an admin has to agree with the report, hence why some things get a record and others don't, the admins just won't know about it.

So if a character is saying to the viewer, "do you think I'm cute", and you comment, "yes, you're very cute", it'd still technically be considered reportable, with roleplaying/self insertion, though for something like that you'd likely not be reported.

but there are a lot that seem to be blatantly stretching the rules in order to include something that's pretty harmless.

What are the cases you feel are blatantly stretched?

Don't forget that, for all the examples that might be linked to in a record, there's twenty or more floating about out there. We, the users, generally just see each post in isolation, so we don't get an overall picture of an offender's behavior. On the other hand, an admin has the tools to quickly and easily look at past behavior to see if there's a trend. What seems to us like a single post that seems to be overreacted to is actually the tip of an iceberg of multiple posts that might make us wonder why the admins are being so dang patient.

Usually creepy comments or roleplay.

Every single time? That's not what I thought you were saying. What I was asking was whether you would kindly point to a specific instance you felt was blatantly stretched.

No not 'every single time' that'd be ridiculous. If you want evidence then go to the reports, you'll see tons and tons of reports for roleplay and creepy comments. Like a I said, a lot of them are justified, but if you comb through it a bit you eventually start seeing stretches of the rule. My POINT is the that rule is too vague.

Well, sadly, I have combed through those, I actually do so every now and again out of stupid curiosity. Once upon a time, the admins would regularly make funny ban comments, and while that eventually fell out of practice, I still periodically read through the reports.

I have never read a creepy or roleplay comment that I didn't agree violated the rules.

I got a neutral for tagging a non-sexual but skimpily-clothed character as questionable. Didn't know visible bits were always considered explicit, oops.

What does explicit mean to you if not visible genitalia?

Just in case it helps you, for the future, here's a link to the wiki page for ratings:

I figured it was more of a "tasteful nudity" vs straight up sexual activity. A lot of other art sites I use tag things as such but ay, that's on me for not brushin' up on the rules. I'll be sure to remember from here on.

Wait so is there a particular spot to ask for a removal of a nutrual warning or will it eventually go away with good behaviour and avoiding doing anything that will break anymore rules?

After 6 months you have to message an admin and ask them to remove that strike :3. If you haven't repeated the same offense of course.

You don't necessarily have to ask an admin, but if a seventh month passes then yeah, ask one. Sometimes they'll do so themselves as they watch the list of records, but it may slip through.
