Topic: lost in furrynation (solve)

Posted under General

hi guys , I found this site by accident and I discovered this way the furry, furry is kinda fun but not really my cup of tea, but I really like the system to tag and comment on this site and I would know whether there were other sites with the same system (or close) but on other fetish or even just on classic designs (ok maybe more direct on drawings about sex)

thanks a lot for the answers.

danbooru
gelbooru
There's a whole shitload on all sorts of subjects at booru.org

Don't go in expecting tagging as good as the tagging here, though. The system is basically the same on every booru (even though e621 is technically a boros because forking), but the system's usage is usually...not as thorough as it is here.

the word you want to google is booru

gelbooru and danbooru are some of the most popular ones... but there's a website that will let users make their own boorus.. so there are boorus for a lot of differnet topics and fetishes. just go forth and google.

That said, e621 uses a different system then most boorus, and I think ours is vastly superior XD but for someone just getting started in the wild world of boorus, you might not notice too much difference.

that said, most I"ve seen orient around japanese-ish art, so hopefully THAT is your cuppatea :D

That there is pure, unbridled truth. e621 goes to great lengths to maintain consistent tagging standards, and it benefits greatly from some truly devoted taggers. You just won't find the same standards almost anywhere else.

And even so there are many mine fields and problematic areas.
Users still don't know the difference between black&white, greyscale and monochrome.

The fact that this is true makes me cry myself to sleep at night.

You do realize that if you put black and white, sepia or greyscale as a tag monochrome gets "implicated" to the image automatically right?

I think it was only recently that black_and_white was more clearly defined to mean something different than the other types of monochrome, so perhaps we should de-implicate it?

You could, the wiki here still says B&W is a "Monochrome Images or Animations which consist of only the colors Black and White", so as stated by the wiki monochrome should be in the tags. But both that and the wiki could be changed.

Wikipedia lists monochrome as: "Monochrome[1] describes paintings, drawings, design, or photographs in one color or shades of one color.[2] A monochromatic object or image has colors in shades of limited colors or hues.[clarification needed] Images using only shades of grey (with or without black and/or white) are called grayscale or black-and-white."

So I don't really see why the tags should change, but I also do not know alot about the subject.

Well it really depends on how we (the e621 community) feels it best serves a purpose here. Does having black and white the same thing as monochrome serve a better purpose than having it separate?

Black and white images are a subset of monochrome images. The implication makes perfect sense.

If you want people to obsessively classify porn, you can't do better than furries.

And if you don't want people to obsessively classify porn, well have fun digging through 50 pages of shit to find a really nice image that you couldn't find because the only tag on it was tagme.
