Topic: not good enough?

Posted under General

I recently posted a comic I drew on the site but it was deleted because it 'Does not meet minimum quality standards' does that mean that I need to be a better artist or just make the picture smaller (it was a pretty big file) because I've posted other things of a smaller size with no problem

You never uploaded anything that didn't get deleted for quality reasons.
And yes, your artistic skill needs more work.
But keep at drawing, that is nothing you can't fix with training and patience.

I asked to question before the other two got removed because I originally thought it was because the first thing was to large of a file. and thanks for the information on why they were removed.

Okay here's the reasons why it did not pass inspection:
(Keep in mind I might sound offensive but that is not my goal)

1) Awful anatomy.

2) Bad coloring

3) The whole comic is sideways, not even kidding the lines are off at an angle.

4) It looks like you made this in MSpaint within 10 minutes.

no offense taken, thanks for your input plus two of the three things I posted were drawn well over a year ago

If that last thing was the most recent, then I have to say, that is not good quality. Take the time to work out the details, try and make it look less like it was drawn by a swift hand. Quality, not quantity.

The last two things were AT LEAST a year old and that black and white one was drawn quickly according to the person that drew it.

Then that is the problem. Some artists can draw quality work swiftly, but most should spend the time to give it proper anatomical detailing. Take me, for example, if I just want to draw an image in an hour or two, it'll come out lousy. If I spend a day or two on it, it can look good.
