Having separate finger_claws (for the hands or forepaws) and toe_claws (for the feet or hindpaws), both implying claws, makes sense to me. Don't see why to alias this one and not the other.

Is that actually how that's supposed to be tagged? Specifically for feral characters, I mean. I haven't been sure so I've been hesitant to use finger_claws or the #_fingers tags for the front limbs of quadruped characters (with the exception of dragons with hand-like front limbs).

I'm not actually too sure. I've seen different people give different answers, but to me, it makes sense to distinguish forepaw features from hindpaw features, and having their own tags seems messy since they can piggyback on the hand/fingers and feet/toes distinction (it'd also help for semi-anthro characters, where you may not be able to tell if their forelimb classifies as a paw or hand).
