I noticed SOME of DoNotDelete's works were NOT showing up when you search for either of his names (David_Nathan_Dawkins is aliased to DoNotDelete) and had to be brought up by searching for other tags applied to them.

I have confirmed that this is NOT due to my blacklist.

I found them to be the following:

https://e621.net/post/show/536013/
https://e621.net/post/show/536011/
https://e621.net/post/show/461008/
https://e621.net/post/show/461007/

I attempted to reupload one of them (because I couldn't find it and wasn't sure if I even uploaded it) and got "Error: This post already exists", and THEN it showed up when you search for his name. I did it with the other images listed above and it fixed them as well.

I am unsure if there are other images with his tag in need of this fix. But notice how the tags list in https://e621.net/post/show/425137 shows 21 entries for "David_Nathan_Dawkins", but only 20 for "DoNotDelete" and yet still a search for either names brings up 25 images.

Wait a minute... If david_nathan_dawkins is aliased to donotdelete, then how the hell can it appear on a post at all?

It might be a part-- or the source-- of this error.

That's pretty much because aliases are currently BROOOOOOKEN. Especially application of aliases during the alias approval process.

It probably can't appear on a newly uploaded post, because alias resolution is not completely broken, but posts uploaded before the aliasing occurred, yeah.

Nommy said that he'll fix those manually if they don't resolve within a week or so. By mass-tagediting every single post on the site.

In the meantime, you can fix the ones you find by editing them once. Any edit will do.

Good to know. Both how to fix it, and that an admin is going to make sure of it. =)
