The tag alias #46308 baphomet_(species) -> goat_demon has been approved.
Reason: Semantically, and as species, both mean the same: anthropomorphic demonic goat beings.
So to evade redundancy and too much confusion over the possible differences (as there are almost none, or basically none), it would be easier to have baphomet_(species) aliased to goat_demon.

Agreed, especially since we have baphomet_(deity) to refer to the actual being itself.
If I had to guess, this was meant to be an equivalent of anubian_jackal tag: creatures that resemble Baphomet, regardless of their deity status.
But searching for baphomet_(species) -baphomet_(deity) returns only a small number of hits, and I'm not sure how some of those are even supposed to resemble Baphomet. Considering that there's caprine_demon and goat_demon tags, the baphomet_(species) is probably unnecessary.. +1 for alias.
