Topic: Tagging background characters

Posted under General

I want to post an artwork featuring the main character in the foreground and some various characters in the background who are far away, but still recognizable (by that I mean their genders, species, clothing). Should I tag them properly, as if they were the main focus of the post, or should I just leave only the tags of the character in the front?

You tag everybody and everything that is visible in the image, focus or not.

Even if the main character in focus is male, and some of the background characters are female and that can cause some confusion and mislead people (e.g. people searching for art with female characters and accidentally opening a post with male character)?

Yup. 'cause that way it shows up for people who DO want to see females.

Oh, whoops, I misinterpreted what you were trying to ask. Ah, well, got the general idea across.
