Topic: Should we merge the "pear_shaped" and "pear_body" together and separate the tag for the "extreme" and "minor" variants of "pear-shaped".

Posted under Tag/Wiki Projects and Questions

I'll like to merge "pear_shaped" and "pear_body" tags together under "pear_shaped" tag, but I have no idea how to merge tags, I'm guessing only an admin or janitor can merge tags. So that's the reason I'm making this topic...

And also while doing this, I think we should separate the tag for the "extreme" pear-shaped characters we all know, like this and that, and for the characters that's more like... shaped like an actual pear, like these? and this. So that people looking for the "extreme" variety can find it without getting the "minor" variants. I'm taking suggestions for the name of this new tag, since I'm not good with coming up with names.

Since we have curvy_figure as a tag, perhaps using something like pear-shaped_figure would be better to utilize (as well as being more descriptive in it's wording).

And anyone can submit an alias request (To have 'Tag A' be completely replaced by 'Tag B') by clicking 'Request alias' at the top of the page.

Edit: There's also 'Request Implication' (To have 'Tag A' imply 'Tag B') as well as 'Request BUR' (To submit multiple alias/implication requests simultaneously).

Wait those exist? I didn't even know, I'm still kinda new to this place since I rarely use this account, and thanks for uhh... answering my question I guess?

I needed to ruminate on the other half of your post some more before responding (sorry about that). And don't worry about it, everyone's been a new user at some point (and 'Request BUR' for Bulk Update Requests are still rather new).

I remember bringing up the possibility of using hyper_voluptuous a while ago (as a subtag of voluptuous) to use for characters with an exaggerated voluptuous figure. So maybe a hyper_pear-shaped_body tag could be used? Though I'm not sure if that would work for characters that have an 'extreme' pear-shaped body, but don't have any features that would qualify as hyper. This was pretty much the same reason hyper_voluptuous didn't get utilized.

Maybe big_pear-shaped_body or huge_pear-shaped_body, but both of those have a similar fault as hyper_pear-shaped_body. Perhaps wide_pear-shaped_body, though that simply describes the character as 'wide' and doesn't really give any indications to the 'extreme' pear-shaped body you mentioned (and extreme_pear-shaped_body sounds fairly ambiguous). There's also exaggerated_pear-shaped_figure, but that's also fairly ambiguous.

So to summarize, these are the best possible tag names I could think of (but there's probably a better tag name out there that could be used instead of these):
