Topic: Question (about BJs)

Posted under Off Topic

Okay, so a few minutes ago I was chatting over Skype with a friend, who showed me this image, which got me wondering:

Does receiving a BJ from another dude actually makes one gay?

Because, in my opinion, it's something different, like doing a favor or something along those lines, as opposed of having other form of sex with him (just in case, I know a BJ is a form of oral sex).

Not that I've ever given or received one nor I'm about to, just curious.

The activity itself (male to male) is considered gay.

Can it make you gay? That depends. If it's a one-time thing and you'd never do it again with another dude, then no. If you plan on doing it again in the future with the same or different dude, yes.

Actually I think you shoulnd't think in term of "does that makes me gay", because you can define your attraction whatever way you want,
also its not because someone else says you're gay that you are because we need to view sexual attration more as a spectrum than as boxes.
So in short I would say it depend on how you indentify your sexuality and how your partner does, nothing "makes you gay" you are gay, or bi, or pansexual, or kindsey 2 or asexual or whatever you want :p

Sexual behavior is different than sexual attraction. If you're a guy and you're attracted to the/a guy suck you off you're gay, bi, or pan. If you aren't then that makes you straight.

If a lesbian has sex with a guy just for fun and to make him happy, does that make her straight/bi/pan? If an asexual has sex for the same reason, does that make them sexual?

you are gay if you identify as man and you are sexually attracted to men. thats pretty simple. also remember that bisexuality, polysexuality and pansexuality exist too.

It's a pretty easy question to answer really.
Suck big dongs > Acquire homosexuality.

no sexuality is 3 boxes (gay, not gay, bisexual) and then there's a section with 100 boxes for fetishes and that's it

I wasn't referring to terms or sexual preference (well, maybe a bit), mostly the act in general which, as Husky said, it all runs down on one's general preference.

And I'm not taking the other preferences out, of course, this one was generally speaking

It depends on whether oral sex makes you happy or not. If you enjoy it, then getting a blowjob from another person – male, female, or other – will make you gay. If not, then no amount of facial hoovering will cheer you up.

Updated by anonymous

There's a difference between liking something that feels good and being attracted to someone of the same gender, whether it be mutual or sexual. It's like being blindfolded and being told by a girl that she's going to give you a BJ if you stay blindfolded, but when you take it off a guy is sucking your dingaling, but at the same time you were enjoying it when you didn't know it was a guy.
Now, if you enjoyed the fact that a guy was sucking your dingaling, then you're probably gay or bisexual. If you flipped out then you're probably not.

Here's a more confusing question:

If you take a picture of yourself naked and photoshop the picture so it looks like you are giving yourself a blowjob, and then masturbate to it. Is this considered gay?

[/totes srs question]

No, but it's extremely sad.

Sometimes I read what you're writing and I immediately regret that decision as I feel part of my brain slowly trickling out through my ears.

I dunno, I'm assuming the balls aren't touching, and as long as you don't kiss or do it anymore, you probably aren't gay.

I think I saw an image like that... but on the question: I think not... a bit narcissistic at most,

But, for example what's on the image, say you always are the one receiving but just can't ignore or say no to the pleasure, would you still be considered gay? Letting aside the "balls touching = gay" because you're just having a bj

(not exactly referring to 'you' as in you actually)

Whether you're gay, straight, bisexual, or asexual depends on which sex (as in biological gender) gives you the most arousal, NOT what acts you commit.
However, if you're more fond of commiting the act with the same gender than with the opposite, then, yes, that's a sign of sexual orientation.

I know, right? Bisexual totally falls under "Not Gay!"
But, seriously, there's heterosexual, homosexual, bisexual, asexual, pansexual, and possibly some other sexual orientations that I can't remember just this second, too. Beyond those first four, though, anything else is sort of a deviation. Doesn't mean there's something wrong with it, just different.

Is that one real? Sounds like somebody who has their libido always at 100%

Nah, Supersexual is somebody who's aroused only/primarily by super-heroes/-villains.
(I don't actually know what it is if that was a serious comment, Husky, so I apologize if you weren't joking)

close encounters :p

On a more serious note :P

Gay (homosexual) means you prefer same-sex relationships.
Straight (heterosexual) means you prefer opposite-sex relationships
Bisexual means you prefer both, either one at a time or simultaneously.

No one act of anything is indicitive of any behavior, but how you feel about it could be.

Xenosexual will become an orientation. Or would it be extraterresexual? Either way, there will still be purists who stick to the prime sexualities.

Of the thirty-fourth, sixty-third, or sixty-ninth kind? Because as far as the sixty-third kind goes, I'm a purist.

On and English note:
Gay means you're happy and cheerful.
Fag is finely ground tobacco wrapped in paper.
Queer means something strange or odd.
Dyke is a construct to control the flow of water.

I read your post and I found it fairly interesting, I would just add Kindsey studies as a conclusion, or an opening to a greater question on sexual labelling (although the subject has been discusses a lot here and kinda everywhere in fact)

Hey im a believer in if it feels good give it a shot. Did i consider myself lesbian because me and a girl i grew up with would "help" each other? Nope. We werent looking to date nor in love. We knew it felt good and was fun. Would i think it gay for two men to give each other blow jobs? Nope! The act im sure feels amazing so why the hell not like it... be it from a male or female. If however there be deeper feelings of attachment or desiring the person as a mate, i believe that brings them over to the other side.of the rainbow. Til then playtime is playtime.

Aha! That was the word! ("doing a favor", what was I thinking?). That was the exact context I was looking for (playtime), for example, if one enjoys such act where does one stand?

Hmmm... thinking about it more, it now expands to just oral sex in general

Lol glad to help. My take on it is if its an act without emotional ties to the person or gender and merely because it feels good it shouldnt be placed in a categorization of gay/straight/bi. I feel relationships build those tags

Any sexual act between two people of the same sex whether it be foreplay or intercourse is a homosexual act regardless of the sexual preference of the parties involved as it is a sexual act between the same sex.

Yes but would the act be sufficient enough to label them as homosexual? That is the question :p

IvoryWolf said:

It depends on how that act affects the individual(s) involved. If, after the act is complete or even during, the person builds a preference for intercourse with the same sex over the opposite then they may be homosexual themselves. On the other hand they may find that they enjoy it as much as with an opposite sexed partner meaning they may be bisexual.

There is also a rare occurrence where, while a person may be attracted to one sex, they may be attracted to a single person of the opposite sex.

The question you have to ask yourself is "would I seek sexual acts from another person of this sex if given the choice". After that, it's all up to whether or not you wish to abandon an attraction to one sex in favor of the other.

Regardless, gay sex is gay sex.
