Topic: [APPROVED] Tag alias: fake_animal_ears -> fake_ears

Posted under Tag Alias and Implication Suggestions

The tag alias #50816 fake_animal_ears -> fake_ears has been approved.

Reason: Given that all of the other fake ears tags implicate directly to fake_ears, it would make sense to me to just alias this tag away and properly tag images based on the type of fake animal ears being pictured.

EDIT: The tag alias fake_animal_ears -> fake_ears (forum #304757) has been approved by @Millcore.

fake human ears is a thing, so having an animal counterpart may be useful.

This is true, however, there's only one post using the fake_human_ears tag. It's kind of pointless to keep fake_animal_ears in use when nearly every single post under fake_ears are animal ears. It just doesn't seem worth the effort to transfer all the animal ears implications under fake_ears to fake_animal_ears.
Even if there were significantly more posts with fake human ears, I still wouldn't see the need to effectively create two entire groupings where one grouping only consists of one type of ear (ie. Group 1: Just human ears; Group 2: Every unique animal ear in existence).

To help visually illustrate my point further:

How things currently work:
.        fake_ears
             |
{human, cat, dog, rabbit, etc.}
How separating human and animal ears would work:
.        fake_ears
          /     \
      human    animal
                  |
               {cat, dog, rabbit, etc.}

Perhaps if human were to be changed to humanoid you could have more subgroupings, but once again there's only one fake human-eared post and I don't think I've ever seen fake humanoid ears of any other type before.
