Hey there, i'm just another connoisseur of art that wanted to contribute to the site with some of my own commissions. Now granted this may be because I'm taking a bit personally but I'm wondering why a lot of what I've commissioned it comes back with negative votes when none of the topics are extreme or in any way scandalous. It seems people are just getting mad at the fact that I made my own character with another character that they may like and so they just dislike it out of spite. I'm not trying to include drama I'm trying to see if there's anything that can be done about this or if this happen to anyone else.

Now you can just pretend voting doesn't exist and move on.

People are shitty and most are too chickenshit to leave a reason, idk

There are unfortunately people who do not like OC x Canon stuff, especially if that character you're shipping in question probably has someone else in terms of relationship status in canon. I've seen it before.

i tend to find downvotes on some of my material too and most of the time i don't know why. i very rarely draw anything except my own OCs, so i wouldn't imagine people get offended by me "mistreating" some canon characters, but lately it looks like most of the things i upload here get downvoted soon after they're up

i would love to know the reason why someone dislike what i've drawn, in case it's something i could improve or it's just material they dislike in general,
-also seeing how many up/down-votes there is of each would be nice to have, just to tell how many are liking vs. disliking your material if you don't check back every hour/day and don't remember the previous numbers..

The upvote/downvote count is in the alt text on the post's score. Just hover your cursor over the score number on the side and it should shortly tell you how much of each it received.

...now to wonder if it's the same 1-3 people downvoting on all my stuff or not,
it kinda baffles me why someone would downvote artwork that don't contain anything offensive, unless they've something personal against the person, or has some kind of OCD forcing them to make some kind of vote on everything they come across here

From what I can see from the most casual glance at your uploads, what's primarily downvoted is the humanoid-only content and the snuff image.

Upload your oc with Judy Hopps, people will love it (?)

supposedly not snuff per se, according to the commissioner; but i fully expected that one to get a lot of dislikes,

For the post themselves, I wouldn't pay it too much mind,
from the looks of it's the subject matter instead of
the artwork itself (Which is stellar by the way! ╹‿╹)

Goofy movie can be a pretty hard sell to some peeps
since it hits on the 'Childhood' downvote category

(Peeps downvoting because it's apart of their childhood
and they feel like your ruining it for them on purpose.)

Best to ignore it and keep doing what you're doing!
It's not your job to commission art the rude doods
