I instead typed in my telegram art channel for source but will it still work even if i don't own an account from one of the specified gallery websites?
I have rarely shared my art in other places other than telegram. I purged my old FurAffinity account, as well as my old Twitter too.

If you're the artist, then it shouldn't matter where your art is hosted, even if it's not one of the big gallery sites. Or so I would imagine, not being a moderator.

As long as you have access to at least one of the galleries, it should be fine.
The staff has to make sure that you are the actual artist by having you send a DM on one of the gallery sites. This is done to prevent people from pretending to be artists and wrongfully taking down posts.

Would it still work if sent my verification code to my old FA account that i couldn't bring myself to delete? Even though i have deleted everything off of it.
