I'd argue brand names, where the brand is clearly visible (part of the reason this isn't particularly valid with guns is that a lot of them are a standard template manufactured by a shitload of different brands), should be an exception to this, considering Lamborghini, Chevrolet, Ford, and Pontiac all have their own tags.

If this was something more specific like "Pabst_Hard_Coffee" or "Budweiser_Winter_Stout", I'd agree, but this seems acceptable.

I don't think recognisable brands should ever be regarded as too specific. A product rather than brand could probably be too specific (like VotP's examples of Pabst_Hard_Coffee and Budweiser_Winter_Stout) but there's even exceptions to this like Ford_Mustang. (1997_Ford_Mustang_GT_4.6_V8_auto would definitely be overly specific though)

I don't really know much about guns but from what I can see there's plenty of specific gun types that have valid tags such as ak-47, p90, spas-12, etc
