Topic: asking higher ups for approvals/reviews on submitted artwork

Posted under General

is it ill-advised to dm admins and moderators to approve specific artwork? currently waiting for approval on a picture I made and posted here but one thinks it isnt good enough but personally after learning from my first deleted picture on here I spent more time on it to make it look better than the last and I don't believe it should be removed right off the bat but as its currently waiting further review and hasn't gotten more I wasn't sure if its not allowed to dm previous approvers to review a piece for approval, would like to know since I been told after 30 days without further reviewing it would get automatically deleted

I don't think they would rip your face off for it. But I'd wait a little longer, before asking. And I wouldn't do it to often.

That's fair I suppose I'll wait just kinda worried if I don't do anything about it that it'll go poof

You shouldn't ask staff members to approve your posts.
The reason for that is merely practical – we receive over 1500 uploads daily. We will get to all posts eventually, but not immediately.

If your post is ever on the verge of deletion, feel free to ask me, though. I don't mind looking at it, although I can't promise that I will approve it.

As for your post...
At the moment, four janitors are in agreement that it does not quite meet the artistic standards, but at the same time, it's not bad enough that it warrants immediate deletion.

i understand now that it takes a while and thank you very much for looking at it honestly im unsure why this is getting so much negative traction from the janitors as there are many other pics that are approved that are similar in skill/style and this is just a theory but I feel like some just don't like me as I been checking the pic frequently as we speak since im noticing a lot more is happening on it review wise and even seen a comment on there asking why it was being removed get downvoted to a zero along with my reply to it. I know my artwork isnt the best and a lot can be done but personally I feel like this should stay up not just cause it took my a while to do and i took extra precaution but I just don't think it is deserving to takedown i feel it is minimum quality, but I thank you for having a different view on it I hope others may look into it aswell :)
