I've been a long time fan of Blind Guardian and Sonata Arctica, but more recently, Beast in Black and Dynazty have been putting out some very impressive albums. Dragony's Viribus Unitis is also pretty good, would recommend.

Zdzisław Beksiński is probably my favourite traditional artist, always been enthralled by the surrealist works he made in the 70's and 80's.

and miso souperstar can draw some fat fucking asses too I guess

I actually have many favourite artists but I went in here wanting to make a joke first and now I'm too lazy too list them all :P

I don't really keep track of any specific artist for too long (they usually just get lost in a sea of uploads), so it's a bit difficult to say. There's a huge amount of artists I really really like. But some great ones that immediately come to mind:

He does incredible animations. For me is difficult to believe that a sigle person could do animations of 1 minute or more, that seem to be taken out from a big budget animation movie of our times.

I think that E6 is very vast, and I has a user do not think that will be able, even if I wanted, to mention all the artists that deserve to be mentioned, even by my own standards.

... that I would personally call as "horror antropomorphism". I trend (and try) to almost never look at those kind of images, and therefore I do not collect them, nor do I know much of its authors. However, I believe that the imagination and talent in many of those images is great... if well, I am almost never in the mood to appreciate them.

If E6 is a "World"... I have the impression that I know of it just a few countries, or one or two continents, at most.

Probably only the Administrators, Janitors, etc ... have a much more complete vision of the vastness of this site regarding art.

I don't know if you are aware about the stats page, but you can take a peek of that vastness there.

Trying to stay on the topic, I don't think I have favorites right now, but there's some artists that I really like: clockbirds, taran_fiddler, null_ghost and wlop. They are pretty good and I really like the amount of detail they put on their works, it's astounding! :)

Ooh, I like clockbirds a lot, their art is so magical and wondrous! It makes me want to walk into the picture! It reminds me of romantic landscapes, which I've always loved for this same reason.

I actually like that tag lol, I sometimes browse it to see what kind of weird stuff people are drawing. I think my many years on this site have desensitized me enough that very little of it fazes me

I don't know if you are aware about the stats page, but you can take a peek of that vastness there.

I have seen the page once, but it is good to have it present now. Altough the stats given refer more to the size of the database. Say, number of records in different files (or filters), types of infomation files, etcetera. This is of course relevant to the physical Administration of the database ... but also, I also mean the "diversity of the content".

But that is precisely, what all the tagging effort (~ classification) of so many persons here is about, I guess.

Maybe I just suck at using this website but there are other artists I would follow if there was a function to do so and I can't be arsed to manually check them all.

I also know some artists use different aliases for different websites (ie. ncmares is Raps on FA), so once I find an artist on one site, I'll use that website as a primary source rather than trying to follow them all on one website (here).

I see some great taste all around! I've always been a fan of style-parody type stuff, so two of my favorites are kosperry and atori. Kosperry especially has the Don Bluth style down to a science, they have some very impressive work. Atori's style is more of a variant of the Tom & Jerry styles rather than an imitation, but still a relevant mention.

It's a bit late to be replying but I thought why not so here we are.

When it comes to traditional art, my all time favourite is M. C. Escher. Maimly since he woeked mostly without colour like I do and his art makes me think about all the shapes and dimensions. For me one of the best experiences of my life was when I was younger and while travelling got to visit an exhibit of his works in Lisbon, Portugal.
Michelangelo Pieta and his sculputres are definitely in my list of all time favourites as well. Having also seen his works in person in Florence, the Louvre, and in Rome, my respect for him as an artist is immense. It's hard to understand just how much detail was put into it through a flat picture.
Another on this list is Van Gogh (pronounced kinda like Van Hokh) due to seeing both a documentary about him done by dozens of artists working together where every frame is a painting in a style mimicking his, and seeing multiple of his works in person. Experiencing Starry Night up close is truly a wonderous sight that no image can truly capture. His works seem to leap from the canvas and digital versions only look like poor imitations.

Da Vinci was also amazing, and I got to see many of his works, but I respect him more for his feats of inventing thsn his art. Not that the art isn't impressive, just that his mechanical and scientific knowledge is even more so.

For me it's Whygena, Funkybun, Kuroodod and Eipril the first two are just great, very wholesome and very well drawn, and Kuroodod is one of the first comic artists i liked and Eipril made the first EVER piece of furry porn i ever watched, the one from the bathtub lol

For what it's worth, these are my favorite artists posting art work on this site: Twitchy Animation (love Gin and Leo), confusedraven, (love Dave and Jay), Braeburned (big Ian and Ollie fan), Fuze (he made me wish I had had an Ian De La Cruz in my life when I was a kid). Also a fan of Anti-Dev, Dacad, Valhound, Meesh, Rov, Eupharrow, Ruaidri, Zaush, Jackaloo, Colonel Klink, Leobo, and H0rs3, and many other fine artists who post great work here.

I like Gerrkk, Erobos, Gakujo, Sssonic2, and Wolfy Nail for their art styles. Karno is another artist that I like, but for a different reason. He was the first artist whose comics I read on this website and the reason I am a furry.

my favorite artist is ruaidri. i also really like zorryn, but i hate that he watermarks his art. i can't stand a big logo and website url in the corner of every art. signatures are fine imo as long as they don't overlap the foreground, although i never sign my own art. my favorite 2D artists are Oxfort2199 and Raaz.

i have this stupid dream that i'm gonna be a furry animator with blender. gonna drop $2000 on a PC and it will lead nowhere. art is so intimidating, but i want to be like the greats.
