The tag implication #40411 the_witcher_3 -> the_witcher has been rejected.
Reason: The Witcher 3 is part of The Witcher series.
P.S.: I have also streamlined some of the vestigial posts that used the "the_witcher_3:_wild_hunt" and "the_witcher_(series)" tags as they were used on a handful of posts only, some of them even missing the main "the_witcher" tag.

Is it necessary to have a separate the_witcher_3 tag? Most games just use a series tag, and in the case of The Witcher 3, I'm not sure there's much in it that isn't also present elsewhere (previous games, tv show, books, etc). It might be better to alias them to the_witcher_(series).
+1 on having an alias instead of an implication.
Not sure if separating the books / video games / TV show is necessary. Might just lump it all under the_witcher tag.
To be honest I was kinda thinking the same thing, but there's already like 50+ posts tagged with witcher 3 and I wasn't sure how to go about it as this is the first time i'm suggesting one of these changes.
